Saucer with "Strohblumen" Pattern Saucer, ca. 1790

This is a saucer. It was probably Limbach. It is dated ca. 1790 and we acquired it in 1953. Its medium is hard paste porcelain, vitreous enamel. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Georgiana L. McClellan. It is credited Bequest of Georgiana L. McClellan.

Its dimensions are

H x diam.: 3.4 × 12.9 cm (1 5/16 × 5 1/16 in.)

It has the following markings

Underside: [1] arch with three horizontal lines (?), painted in underglaze blue [2] "296", printed on rectangular paper label (McClellan number?)
