Plate with Pastoral Scene Plate

This is a plate. It was manufactured by Zurich Pottery and Porcelain Factory. It is dated ca. 1770–1780 and we acquired it in 1953. Its medium is hard paste porcelain, vitreous enamel. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Georgiana L. McClellan. It is credited Bequest of Georgiana L. McClellan.

It has the following markings

Underside: [1] crossed "Z", painted in underglaze blue (manufactory mark) [2] "109" underlined, painted in gold (faded) [3] "395", printed on rectangular label [4] "365", printed on rectangular label
