Lettered in plate, lower center: CLAGNI est une Maison de delices que le Roy fit bastir pour la premiere fois l’année 1674 à 200 pas de Versailles sur le chemin de Paris le Bastiment n’ayant pas esté trouvé assés commode le/ Roy en fit faire un plus considerable l’année 1676. Il consiste en plusieurs pavillons agreables et magnifiques et en un beau Jardin accompagné d’une Orangerie. Le Sr. Hardoüin Mansart en/ est l’architecte et en cette presente année 1679. Les dedans n’en sont pas encore achevez.
