Drawing, Design for Acanthus Rinceaux with Animals and Birds
This is a Drawing. It was workshop of Giulio Romano. It is dated 1524–46 and we acquired it in 1911. Its medium is pen and brown ink, brush and brown wash, white gouache; scale in graphite added on each side; curving stroke (of a letter?) in pen and brown ink cut off on lower center of sheet.
