In the background of the print, there is a lion with a long flowing mane looking at the spectatoe with a look of angst. At the bottom of the print can be seen the following text in big bold block letters: S.Marcvs. Below the name can be seen text in cursive which reads as follows: Corn.Vifcher Inveniebat in the lower left hand corner. In the lower right hand corner there is cursive text that reads as follows: Corn.Vifcher Suclpebat et Excudebat Harlem 1650.
