Book Cover, Raum, Zeit, Architektur (Space, Time, Architecture), 1965

We have 3 images of Book Cover, Raum, Zeit, Architektur (Space, Time, Architecture), 1965 .

A long highway in black and white is suspended without supports from the lower left of the book cover to the upper right, where it curves to the left. The lower third of the cover shows on and off ramps to the highway, shaped like two nested loops, formed to resemble a needle with a highway being threaded through like thread. The road is dotted with small cars. Below the highway is a view of a town in red ink, as if from a tall building. Small people dot the open areas, and trees and architectural loops fill in the rest of the space. The upper third of the cover reads, in black centered text, “Raum, Zeit, Architektur/ Die Entstehung/ einer neuen Tradition/ S. Giedion.”
Two page spread from brook with German text and header, “Raum, Zeit, Architektur.” There are four images, each in black and white. On the left middle, there appears to be a reproduction of a sketch by Leonardo da Vinci. Below, there is an aerial photo of boats and industrial structures. On the right page, at the top right, is a large architectural structure shaped like a downward curve that is surrounded by water. Below is a light-colored house with geometric architecture, including square windows, a cylindrical portion, and sharp edges.
Page of book with German text and images. The top quarter of the page shows a line drawing of the Sydney Opera House, which has large curved shell shapes atop a stepped platform. Below, is a black and white image of a bird in flight. To its right is another line drawing of the curvature of one of its wings. At the bottom of the page is a horizontal image of a neat cluster of industrial buildings.
