This ivory chess piece is a white king, decorated as a stylized, human-king form standing on a pedestal. It is monochrome and intricately carved, with the king standing on a platform that rests on top of floral sphere, with a thin platform underneath the globe, to hold it upright. From the top, the king wears a pointed head covering on his head, whose sides have an upright flare. The facial features are minimal and abstract, but does include oblong eyes, eyebrows, nose, and mouth. The king wears a floor-length robe with a beaded necklace and intricate floral design similiar to paisley. His right hand is also oblong and minimal and holds a long object. The pedestal he rests on are two thin circular platforms made of delicate, repeated lines and concave features that sandwiches a decorative sphere. The sphere is carved with an interlocking design made of elements of foliage and circles.

A multi-component brass tea set comprised of five vessels; a tea caddy, a sugar bowl, a tea kettle with a stand, a jug, and a spoon vase, arranged from left to right, and standing on a tray. The brass of each object has a gold color and is shiny and reflective. The tea caddy has a cylindrical body and a flat base with a slightly domed lid. Two sets of engraved lines are found where the lid attaches to the body, along with a vertical hinge secured with two small rivets. In front of the tea caddy is a lidded sugar bowl, with a squat, ovoid body and a flat top, with short, rounded square handles on each side. The lid has a rounded knob and subtle engraved lines along the rim. Behind and to the right of the sugar bowl is a tea kettle, which also has a squat, ovoid-shaped body, with a short spout facing right. It has a curved, fiber wrapped, tapered handle attached to each edge, and a small circular lid with a dark, glazed, wooden, spherical finial on top. The tea kettle is placed on a three-legged stand with lipped feet, whose upper frame supports the kettle, with a recessed section underneath, and whose lower frame holds a squat, rounded, fluted glass container with a brass cover. In front of the tea kettle and to the right is a jug, with a squat, ovoid body, a pointed spout facing left, and a small, rounded handle. The jug has a shallow open top revealing a matte, silver-grey tin interior. Behind the jug and to the right is a spoon vase, with a cylindrical body, which flares slightly at the rim and tapers slightly at the base. The vessels rest on a vertical, rectangular tea tray, with a flat bottom and short edges attached at a right-angle to it, along with curved, tapered handles which are centered and attached to the right and left edges.

A silver spoon of a place setting in an original complex design imbued with organic and realistic representations. The bowl of the spoon is unevenly formed and narrows to a tip resembling a leaf with a single raised vein veering to the right from the neck. A curled layer of thin silver evoking a shrivelled form occupies the lower right edge of the bowl while the short stem of a leaf bypasses the neck of the spoon, veering to the right, with another small dried-looking leaf-form appearing at its end. A leaf stem travels behind the spoon’s neck appearing intentionally unfinished with uneven edges. The spoon handle continues from the neck into an elongated narrow concave tear-drop form occupying half the handle space attached to a short cylindrical handle with a curved single raised vein ending with an uneven, negative space on the right intentionally evoking the appearance of a dead leaf with a debossed dotted texture on the left. The photograph captures the spoon in a vertical orientation resting on a light gray ground with a slightly visible shadow to the spoon’s left.

This printed wall covering is a long, 32-panel wall covering with four hand painted panels. It depicts scenic narrative on a landscape view with a colorful palette. An illustrated work, it is realistic in terms of style and is comprised of mostly blue sky that fades to yellow. The landscape has forest cliff in the middle of the composition, with a background city and lake horizon line on either side, halfway down from the top of the panel. There are human forms at the bottom in the foreground, much smaller in scale against central the forest cliff. From left to right, similar yet smaller forest cliffs frame along the edge with a modest town next to a mountain-lake scene in the background. In the foreground, soldiers stand in a crowded formation wearing bright colors and holding flags in conversation. The center of the panel has a prominent forest cliff scene, with large boulders surrounded by lush green trees that visually divide the left and right scenes. In the central foreground are the backs of people wearing dresses and colorful suits equipped with luggage, who wave to soldiers on horseback in the right side of the panel. In the background behind the soldiers is a harbor full of ships and blue water surrounded by distant buildings. On the sandy beach in the foreground, colorfully-outfitted soldiers mid-trot wave back to the luggage-towing group. As on the left side, a small forest cliff frames the right edge of the panel.

An architectural floor plan of the ground floor for the Villa Monseur Hepsy at St. Cloud is rendered in greyscale. The rooms of the plan are labled as 'cuisine, office, vestibule, WCL, salon, porche de entree, and salle a manger' each with specified dimensions. The floor plan is centered on the page below a hand-rendered lettering of the phrase, 'Plan du Rez ne Chaussee' also in greyscale. A loosely drawn field of brown, ornamental linework fills the remainder of the page and registers as a background or tertiary element in the overall composition.

This pen tray is made of a medium brown-colored wood. It is elongated and roughly rectangular in shape. In the center of the pen tray, and running nearly its full length, is a semi-circular well to hold pens. On either side of the well, the wood is carved so it spreads out a little beyond the well’s lip. Hecto Guimard’s signature and the date of this pen tray (1907) has been incised into the wood in scrawling cursive letters. At both ends of the tray are rounded nests of carved curving lines. They stretch and fold into each other like folded dough.

At the top of this gilded bronze seal is a flat circular disk containing the negative impression of the seal. The seal sits on top of a long, tapered neck. At the point where the neck and seal meet are droplets and twisting elements of gilded bronze. These elements continue about a quarter of the way down the neck. About halfway down, the neck begins to expand into the base. Raised lines fall down the neck, swirling at the base outward like a propeller. They expand outward as the base expands outwards beyond the neck of the seal creating a disk. The effect recalls waves in the water. At one side of the circular base a swirling line seems to splash over the edge, as an area of the gilded bronze breaks the plane of the base with swirls and droplet-like forms.
